Nevada driver’s licenses can be renewed in person at Nevada DMV offices in Carson City, Henderson, Las Vegas, or Reno. Most eligible drivers can also renew online using their MyDMV account. Renewal notices are typically sent by mail before your license expires.

Starting May 7, 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification (such as a passport) to board domestic flights or enter certain federal buildings.

REAL IDs must be obtained in person at a Nevada DMV office. To apply, bring documentation that proves your identity, Social Security number, and Nevada residency. For a complete list of accepted documents, visit the GETREALNEVADA website.
